23-YEAR-OLD ATLANTIC CITY MAN CHARGED FOR THE NEW YEARS DAY STABBING DEATH OF A MAN

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ.- Following an investigation into The New Year's Day Stabbing Death of Nazir Cintron, on Saturday, January 13, 2024, Gavin Guzman, 23, of Atlantic City, New Jersey, was Taken into Custody and Charged with First Degree Murder; Third Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Fourth Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.
The Charges stem from an incident, when on Monday, January 1, 2024, at around 7:30 a.m., Members of The Atlantic City Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Stabbing in the area of Michigan Avenue and The Boardwalk.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Nazir Cintron, 22, of Atlantic City, unresponsive from Multiple Stab Wounds to his Chest. Mr. Cintron was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.
An investigation by Members of The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit and The Atlantic City Police Department were able to identify Mr. Guzman as a Suspect and The Individual responsible for The Death of Mr. Cintron. Following his arrest Mr. Guzman was Processed on The Charges and was Remanded to The Atlantic County Justice Facility pending Future Court Proceedings.
