POMPTON LAKES, NJ.- Authorities are continuing their investigation into a Pedestrian Crash that occurred last night in Pompton Lakes that Tragically Claimed the Life of a 69-Year-Old Bloomingdale, New Jersey man.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at just around 8:00 p.m., Members of The Pompton Lakes Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting that a Pedestrian had been Struck by a Motor Vehicle on Ringwood Avenue near Carr Street in Pompton Lakes.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Daniel Schneider, 69, of Bloomingdale, New Jersey, in the Roadway, suffering from Life-Threatening Injuries. Mr. Schneider was immediately transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The Motor Vehicle that Struck Mr. Schneider remained at the scene. Detectives are continuing the investigation.
