BREAKING: Willingboro, New Jersey Man Charged With Murder

60-YEAR-OLD WILLINGBORO MAN CHARGED WITH THE STABBING DEATH OF HIS WIFE

     "Stanley Martin Has Been Charged For Fatally Stabbing His 56-Year-Old Wife Inside Their Home Last Saturday Night."

WILLINGBORO, NJ.- Burlington County Authorities reported that a 60-Year-Old Willingboro Township, New Jersey man was Charged with Murder for Last Saturday's Early Morning Stabbing Death of his wife that occurred inside their home in The Hawthorne Park Section of Willingboro Township.



     Stanley Martin, 60, of Willingboro, Township, was Charged with First Degree Murder; Third Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Fourth Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. Mr. Martin was Processed on The Charges and was Remanded to The Burlington County Jail pending Future Court Proceedings.


     The Charges stem from an incident, when on Saturday, January 13, 2024, shortly before 1:00 a.m., Members of The Westampton Police Department responded to The Wawa Convenience Store located on Springside Road in The Township following a report that a man was Threatening Store Employees.


     The man, later identified as Stanley Martin, had left the Store shortly before Police Officers arrived. Mr. Martin was located about 60 Minutes later outside a Closed Retail Business in Willingboro Township and Taken into Custody. 


     During Mr. Martin's apprehension, Police Officers received information that Prompted Officers to conduct a Welfare Check at Mr. Martin's Hinsdale Lane Home. Upon arrival, Police Officers made entry into the home and discovered The Body of Dierdra Martin, 56, inside the Home Dead. The Burlington County Medical Examiner deemed the Cause of Death to be Multiple Stab Wounds and the Manner to be Homicide.


     Burlington County Authorities did not release details of what had led to The Stabbing Death of Mrs. Martin. Mr. Martin's Charges will be prepared for presentation before a Burlington County Grand Jury for Possible Indictment.
