52-YEAR-OLD ENGLEWOOD SECURITY GUARD FACES CHARGES FOR THE SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A CHILD

ENGLEWOOD, NJ.- A 52-Year-Old Englewood, New Jersey man, who is employed as a Security Guard was Arrested and Charged on Friday, December 29, 2023, in connection with The Alleged Sexual Assault of a Child.
According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Friday, December 29,2023, The New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency contacted The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit after they received information regarding The Alleged Sexual Assualt of Juvenile. An investigation was launched.
During a Swift-Moving investigation, after interviewing witnesses including the Child Victim, Detectives of The Bergen County Special Victims Unit and The Englewood Police Department quickly determined that Steven Spence, 52, of Englewood, New Jersey, had Sexually Assaulted the Child.
Accordingly, on Friday, December 29, 2023, Mr. Spence was Taken into Custody at The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office in Paramus, and Formally Charged with Second Degree Sexual Assault; Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; and Fourth Degree Criminal Sexual Contact.
Spence was Processed on The Charges and was Remanded to The Bergen County Jail pending Future Court Proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
