DUMONT MAN FIRST CHARGED WITH THE SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A CHILD NOW FACES CHARGES OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

DUMONT, NJ.- A 43-Year-Old Dumont, New Jersey man previously Charged back in June 2023 for The Sexual Assault of a Child between the Ages of Thirteen and Sixteen, was Arrested and Additionally Charged on Friday, January 5, 2024, with The Production and Possession of Child Pornography.
As First Reported by The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office, on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, The Dumont Police Department contacted The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit after receiving a report regarding the Alleged Sexual Assault of a Child. Following a Swift-Moving Investigation by The Bergen County Special Victims Unit in conjunction with The Dumont Police Department, Detectives determined that Coswayne Donald, 43, of Dumont, New Jersey, Sexually Assaulted a Child between The Ages of 13 and 16.
Accordingly, on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, Mr. Donald was Arrested in Dumont, New Jersey, and Formally Charged with Three Counts of First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; and Third Degree Sexual Contact. Donald was initially remanded to The Bergen County Jail, and following a Court Hearing, Donald was released and Placed on Home Detention.
According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Friday, January 5, 2024, further investigation uncovered that Mr. Donald used his Cellular Phone to Manufacture and Possess Digital Images of Nude and or Sexually Explicit Pubescent Children. Accordingly, Donald was Arrested at his Dumont Home and Additionally Charged with First Degree Production of Child Pornography; Second Degree Production of Child Pornography; and Third Degree Possession of Child Pornography. Donald was Processed on The Charges and was Again Remanded to The Bergen County Jail pending Future Court Proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court.
