BREAKING: Galloway Township, New Jersey Man Indicted For The Death Of A Boy

     "Edward W. Johnston Indicted On A Charged After He Crashed His Car Into A Parked Vehicle That Resulted In The Death Of An 8-Year-Old Boy."

MAYS LANDING, NJ.- A Grand Jury sitting in Atlantic County, New Jersey has Returned an Indictment against Edward W. Johnston, 25, of Galloway Township, New Jersey, Charging him with Aggravated Manslaughter for Driving While Intoxicated and Crashing his Vehicle into a Parked Car that had an 8-Year-Old Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Boy Sleeping in The Car, resulting in The Child's Death on July of 2023.


     According to Atlantic County Prosecutor William E. Reynolds, on July 23, 2023, at 3:25 a.m., The Child was Killed on The White Horse Pike in Absecon, New Jersey, when the Family Car he was Sleeping in was Struck by a Nissan Sentra Driven by Mr. Johnston.


     A subsequent investigation determined that Mr. Johnston was in a State of intoxication that made him unable to properly operate a motor vehicle. It was also determined that Johnston was Recklessly Speeding when he left the roadway and Struck the Parked Vehicle.
