ONE DEAD AND ONE INJURED IN LAST NIGHT'S ATLANTIC CITY NEW JERSEY SHOOTING

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ.- Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding a Shooting that occurred Late Last Night in Atlantic City that Claimed the Life of a 37-Year-Old man, and left a 24-Year-Old man Hospitalized from a Gunshot Wound.
According to Atlantic County Prosecutor William E. Reynolds, on Sunday, January 7, 2024, just shortly after 10:00 p.m., Members of The Atlantic City Police Department responded to a Multiple Shot ShotSpotter Activation located on The 1100 Block of Monroe Avenue in Atlantic City.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found Two Victims suffering from Gunshot Wounds. The First Victim, Kevin Gayle, 37, of Marmora, New Jersey was immediately transported to AtlantiCare Medical Center where upon arrival he succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased minutes later.
The Second Victim, Lyndon Russell, Jr., 24, of Atlantic City, New Jersey was also transported to AlantiCare Medical Center with a Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wound. Mr. Russell was Admitted to The Hospital and his condition is unknown at this time.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Authorities continue their investigation.
