BREAKING: Atlantic City, New Jersey Man Charged In Fatal Boating Death

53-YEAR-OLD ATLANTIC CITY MAN CHARGED IN CONNECTION WITH KILLING A WOMAN WHILE BOATING DRUNK

     "Jeffery M. Jastrzembski Has Been Charged With Killing Norma Michaels In An August 2023 Boating Crash."

MAYS LANDING, NJ.- On Thursday, January 12, 2024, Jeffery M. Jastrzembski, 53, of Atlantic City, New Jersey was Charged with First Degree Aggravated Manslaughter in connection with a Fatal Boat Crash that occurred on August 12, 2023, that Claimed the Life of an Atlantic City Woman.


     According to Atlantic County Prosecutor William E. Reynolds, on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at approximately 5:14 p.m., Mr. Jastrzembski was operating his Boat on The Intercoastal Waterway in Atlantic City, in the area of The Albany Avenue Bridge. It is alleged that Jastrzembski accelerated the Boat at a High Rate of Speed in the direction of The Docks, and then made an aggressive turn to the Port Side causing the Boat's Propeller to Strike and Kill Norma Michaels, 70, of Atlantic City, New Jersey. 


     An investigation by Members of The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Fatal Crash Investigation Unit in conjunction with The New Jersey State Police determined that Mr. Jastrzembski had a Blood Alcohol Concentration of between 0.19 Percent and 0.23 Percent at the Time of The Crash.
