NEWARK, NJ.- A 27-Year-Old Irvington, New Jersey man becomes the Fourth Victim to be Killed in Fourteen Days when he was Fatally Shot Sunday Morning on a Newark, New Jersey Street.
According to Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at approximately 4:25 a.m., Members of The Newark Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Shooting on The 300 Block of Grove Street in Newark.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man. later identified as Ty'Shad Campbell, 27, of Irvington, New Jersey, suffering from an apparent Gunshot Wound. Mr. Campbell was immediately transported to University Hospital and pronounced deceased 15 minutes later.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Police continue to search for a suspect.
