41-YEAR-OLD ABSECON MAN CHARGED FOR THE OCTOBER 9, 2023 SHOOTING DEATH OF MAMADOU TOURE

PLEASANTVILLE, NJ.- Atlantic County Prosecutor William E. Reynolds reported, that on Friday, December 1, 2023, Jerome Holley, 41, of Absecon, New Jersey was Taken into Custody and Charged in connection with The Pleasantville, New Jersey Shooting Death of Mamadou Toure, 45, of Pleasantville.
On Thursday, October 9, 2023, at approximately 8:41 A.M., Members of The Pleasantville Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Shooting in the area of 7 West Pleasant Avenue in Pleasantville.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found Mr. Toure unresponsive lying on a Driveway from an apparent Gunshot Wound. Mr. Toure was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.
An investigation by Detectives of The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office in conjunction with The Pleasantville Police Department led to Mr. Holley being identified as a Suspect and the individual responsible for The Shooting Death of Mr. Mamadou.
Accordingly, On Friday, December 1, 2023, Mr. Holley was Taken into Custody and Charged with First Degree Murder; Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; and Second Degree Certain Persons Not to Possess Weapons.
Mr. Holley was Processed on The Charges and Remanded to The Atlantic County Justice Facility pending Future Court Proceedings.
