ENGLEWOOD, NJ.- Following an investigation a 21-Year-Old Bloomingdale, New Jersey man, who works as an Afterschool Aide was Charged on Saturday with Allegedly Sexually Assaulting a Preteen.
According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Friday, December 1, 2023, Members of The Englewood Police Department contacted The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit regarding the Alleged Sexual Assault of a Child. A subsequent investigation by Detectives of The Bergen County Special Victims Unit in conjunction with The Englewood Police Department determined that Johnathan P. Jones, 21, of Bloomingdale, New Jersey, Sexually Assaulted a Child, who was under The Age of Thirteen at the time of the Assault in Englewood, New Jersey, while Mr. Jones had Supervisory Control over The Child.
Accordingly, on Saturday, December 2, 2023, Mr. Jones was Taken into Custody at The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office in Paramus, New Jersey, and Formally Charged with First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; Second Degree Sexual Assault; and Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Mr. Jones was Processed on The Charges and Remanded to The Bergen County Jail pending Future Court Proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
