BREAKING: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Man Awaits Extradition Back To New Jersey On Rape Charges

MILLVILLE, NJ.- Following an Extensive Investigation by Members of The Cumberland County Prosecutors in conjunction with The Millville Police Department, Aleem King, 35, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania will Finally Face Justice for The March 14, 2023, Gunpoint Sexual Assault of a 13-Year-Old Girl. Mr. King is awaiting Extradition back to New Jersey after being Apprehended in North Carolina last month.



     According to Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae, it has been alleged that during the early morning hours on March 14, 2023, Mr. King covertly entered the Bedroom of a 13-Year-Old Girl who resided in The 1000 Block of North Street in Millville, New Jersey. After climbing through the Child's Bedroom Window, Mr. King Threatened and Held the Girl at Gunpoint while he Sexually Assaulted her Against her will.


     A months-long investigation followed with investigators gathering information from numerous sources led to the identification of Mr. King. A Warrant for King's Arrest was issued on August 11, 2023, after he was Charged with Two Counts of First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; Two Counts of Second Degree Sexual Assault; Second Degree Burglary; Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; and Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.


     The investigation further revealed that Mr. King had Fled The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area where on October 19, 2023, King was apprehended in Greenville, North Carolina. At this time King is being Detained in The Pitt County, North Carolina Detention Center, pending his Extradition back to Cumberland County, New Jersey. The Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office will File a Pretrial Detention Motion to have Mr. King Detained pending the resolutions of the Charges Filed Against him.
