BERGEN COUNTY AUTHORITIES ACTIVELY INVESTIGATING A FIRE THAT KILLED A MAN THIS MORNING

BOGOTA, NJ.- Bergen County Authorities are continuing their investigation into The Cause and Origin of a residential fire, that occurred this morning and has Claimed The Life of a man.
Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Museela reported, that on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 6:00 a.m., Members of The Bogota Police Department and The Bogota Fire Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Fire at a Residence located at 320 River Road in Bogota, New Jersey.
Upon arrival, Police Officers and Firefighters found a Structure Fire at the location. During a Search of the Residence, First Responders found an unconscious man inside the Residence. The man was immediately transported to Hackensack University Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. A woman had escaped from the residence and was Evaluated on the scene by Emergency Medical Services and declined to be transported to the hospital.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. The names of the victims have not been released at this time. More information may become available once released by Authorities.
