BREAKING: Hopewell Township, New Jersey Man Charged

     " Ryan C. Johnson Has Been Charged With Child Pornography Offenses."

BRIDGETON, NJ.- A 47-Year-Old Hopewell Township, New Jersey man who had been Employed as a Teacher's Aide at Cumberland Regional High School, and Two other Schools has been Charged with Child Pornography Offenses for Sharing Explicit Images over Social Media with Two Teens.

     According to Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae, following an investigation by Members of The New Jersey State Police, Ryan C. Johnson, 47, of Hopewell Township, New Jersey was Arrested and Charged with Two Counts of Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; Third Degree Possession of Child Pornography; and Two Counts of Lewdness a Disorderly Persons Offense.

     Mr. Johnson is Alleged to have Shared Sexually Explicit Photographs with Two Teens through The Social Media Site "Snapchat" in July and August of 2023. Johnson is also Alleged to have Received and Viewed an Image depicting Child Pornography through "Snapchat." Johnson had been Employed as a Teacher's Aide at The Cumberland Regional High School during the 2022-2023 School Year. Both Teens were Students at The High School when Johnson was Employed as a Teacher's Aide at The High School. Johnson was no longer employed by The School District when the Alleged Criminal Conduct occurred.

     The investigation further revealed that Mr. Johnson was briefly Employed at The Bridgeton High School during the Fall of 2023. Johnson also worked for The Hopewell Crest Elementary School between September 2019 and June 2022.

     Mr. Johnson is Currently Lodged in The Cumberland County Jail pending Future Court proceedings in Cumberland County Superior Court.
