NORTH BERGEN, NJ.- Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez reported that on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, Detectives of The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit Charged a 40-Year-Old North Bergen man in connection with a Crash that left a 65-Year-Old Pedestrian Seriously Injured on Friday, September 8, 2023.
Steve Inoa, 40, of North Bergen, New Jersey, was Charged with Third Degree Assault by Auto while Driving While Intoxicated and Causing Serious Bodily Injury. Mr. Inoa was Arrested at The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office in Secaucus, New Jersey, and released on a Summons pending his First Appearance, which has been Scheduled for Thursday, October 26, 2023, in Hudson County Central Judicial Processing Court.
On Friday, September 8, 2023, at approximately 3:30 a.m., Members of The North Bergen Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting that a Pedestrian had been Struck by a Motor Vehicle at the Intersection of Bergenline Avenue and 92nd Street.
Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered a Honda Pilot operated by Steve Inoa, 40, of North Bergen Struck a Pedestrian on the Sidewalk of The Intersection. The Pedestrian a 65-Year-Old Woman, was immediately transported to Hackensack University Medical Center for treatment.
