ONE DEAD AND ANOTHER HOSPITALIZED IN AN EARLY MORNING PATERSON SHOOTING

PATERSON, NJ.- Passaic County Authorities are Searching for a Suspect and a Motive in Today's Early Morning Shooting in Paterson that has Claimed the Life of a Man and left a Second Man Hospitalized from Multiple Gunshot Wounds.
Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes reported that on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at 3:01 a.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting that a Shooting had occurred in the area of Market and East 36th Street in The City of Paterson.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 32-Year-Old Paterson, New Jersey man suffering from Multiple Gunshot Wounds. The man was immediately transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center where he is currently listed in Stable Condition. A Second unidentified man with a Gunshot Wound to his Chest arrived at Saint Joseph's University Medical Center by way of Private Vehicle suffering from a Gunshot Wound to his Chest. A short time later the man succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased.
The investigation remains active and ongoing as authorities continue to search for a suspect. More information may become available once released by Passaic County Authorities.
