BREAKING: Paterson, New Jersey Man Charged With Stalking

WAYNE, NJ.- Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes reported that Following an Investigation, Amir Sikder, 22, of Paterson, New Jersey, a Former Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Officer was Arrested and Charged on Thursday, October 5, 2023.



     The investigation was conducted by Members of The Wayne Township Police Criminal Investigations Division and The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office Public Integrity Unit. It has been Alleged that Mr. Sikder, while Employed as a Police Officer with The Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Department, used a Law Enforcement Computer Database to obtain Personal Information about the Victim.


     Sikder then used the Unlawfully Obtained Information to commit the Crime of Stalking in Wayne Township, New Jersey. 


     Accordingly, following the investigation, on Thursday, October 5, 2023, Mr. Sikder was Arrested at The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office in Totowa, New Jersey, and Formally Charged with One Count of Third Degree Access and Disclosure; and One Count of Fourth Degree Stalking. Sikder was Processed on The Charges and Released on a Summons pending Future Court Proceedings in Passaic County State Superior Court.
