JERSEY CITY, NJ.- Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez reported, that on Thursday, October 12, 2023, Members of The Hudson County Specials Victims Unit Arrested a 64-Year-Old Substitute Teacher for Sex Crimes he Committed on Two Jersey City Students while Teaching at Public School 34 located on Kennedy Boulevard in Jersey City. The Alleged Crimes took Place on May 13, 2023.

     Fayez Yassa, 64, of Jersey City, New Jersey was Taken into Custody at his Residence on Thursday and Formally Charged with Two Counts of Second Degree Sexual Assault by Contact; and Two Counts of Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Yassa was Processed on The Charges and Remanded to The Hudson County Correctional Facility pending Future Court Proceedings. 

     According to Jersey City Public Schools Officials, Mr. Yassa has been Terminated from his position in The Jersey City Public Schools System.
