UNION COUNTY AUTHORITIES INVESTIGATING A STABBING DEATH AT THE PLAINFIELD TRAIN STATION

PLAINFIELD, NJ.- Yesterday, Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel reported that The Union County Homicide Task Force, NJ Transit Police, and The Plainfield Police Department are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the Stabbing Death of a 45-Year-Old man that occurred on Thursday at The Plainfield Train Station.
On Thursday, July 6, 2023, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Members of The Plainfield Police Department and The NJ Transit Police Department responded to The Plainfield Train Station, located on East 4th Street in Plainfield on a report of a man being Stabbed.
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a man, later identified as Juquin Smith, 45, Unresponsive from Multiple Stab Wounds. Mr. Smith was immediately transported to a nearby Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No Arrests have been made. Anyone with information regarding the Stabbing Death of Mr. Smith is urged to contact Union County Homicide Task Force Sgt.
