BREAKING: Hightstown, New Jersey Man Charged

HIGHTSTOWN MAN CHARGED YESTERDAY'S SEXUAL ATTACK OF A PISCATAWAY WOMAN

     " After Breaking Into A Piscataway & Raping A Woman, Justin Surofsky Has Been Charged For Thursday Afternoon's Violent Sexual Attack."

PISCATAWAY, NJ.- Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone reported that a 26-Year-Old Hightstown, New Jersey man was Arrested and Charged in connection with a Violent Piscataway Township Home Invasion that occurred on Thursday Afternoon, July 6, 2023.


     On Thursday, July 6, 2023, at approximately 1:24 p.m., Members of The Piscataway Township Police Department responded to a Piscataway Residence after receiving a 911 Emergency Call Reporting an Assault. Upon arrival, Police Officers found a woman who had sustained multiple injuries. The woman was immediately transported to a nearby Hospital for treatment.



     A Swift-Moving investigation by Detective Sean Morelli of The Piscataway Township Police Department and Detective Daniela Castro of The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit was able to quickly identify Sean Surofsky, 26, of Hightstown, New Jersey as The Assailant.


     Accordingly, on Thursday, July 6, 2023, Mr. Surofsky was Arrested in East Windsor, New Jersey without incident and transported to The Piscataway Township Police Department where he was Formally Charged with Two Counts of First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; First Degree Criminal Attempted Murder; Second Degree Burglary; Third Degree Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact; Secon Degree Kidnapping; Third Degree Criminal Restraint; Second Degree Aggravated Assault; and First Degree Robbery.


     Mr. Surofsky was Processed on the Charges and Remanded to The Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center pending his First appearance and Pretrial Detention Hearing.
