Riverside Teacher's Aide Charged

RIVERSIDE HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER'S AIDE CHARGED WITH HAVING A SEXUAL RELATIONSHIP WITH A STUDENT 

     " Michelle Jacoby Was Charged On Tuesday Night With Aggravated Sexual Assault & Child Endangerment."

RIVERSIDE, NJ.- Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw reported that following an investigation a Riverside High School Teacher's Aide was Taken into Custody on Tuesday Night and Charged with having a Sexual Relationship with a Male Student.



     Michelle Jacoby, 27, of Riverside, New Jersey was Charged with First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; and Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Ms. Jocoby was Taken into Custody Tuesday Night and was released on Wednesday after her First Appearance in Burlington County State Superior Court.


     The Charges stem from an investigation that began on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, after The Bergen County Prosector's Office Special Victims Unit was notified that a Student had told a Teacher about the relationship, with Ms. Jocoby. Detectives determined that the relationship, which had ended, involved Multiple Encounters over a Two-Year Period beginning when the Student was a Freshman. Most of all the Encounters occurred in Ms. Jacoby's Home, in Riverside, New Jersey. 


     Riverside School Superintendent Michael Adams said that Ms. Jacoby, who also serves as The Riverside High School Marching Band Director, has been Suspended from her position.
