Jersey City Man Charged In Sexual Assault

18-YEAR-OLD JERSEY CITY MAN CHARGED IN THE SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A 63-YEAR-OLD WOMAN

     " Elijah Lloyd Has Been Charged With Kidnapping, Sexual Assault, & Robbery In Wednesday Night's Rape Of A Woman."

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez reported that following a swift-moving investigation, on Friday, May 12, 2023, Members of The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit Arrested an 18-Year-Old Jersey City man in connection to the Sexual Assault of a 63-Year-Old woman inside a Jersey City Business.

     Elijah Lloyd, 18, of Jersey City, New Jersey has been Charged with First Degree Kidnapping; First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; First Degree Robbery; Third Degree Terroristic Threats; and Third Degree Theft. Mr. Lloyd was Processed on the Charges and Remanded to The Hudson County Correctional Facility pending his First Appearance and a Potential Detention Hearing.

     On Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at approximately 8:24 p.m., Members of The Jersey City Police Department responded to a Business located on West End Avenue, just South of Communipaw Avenue in Jersey City on a report of a woman being Sexually Assaulted. 

     Upon arrival, Police Officers learned that a 63-Year-Old woman was held against her will, Sexual Assault and Robbed. The ensuing investigation by Members of The Hudson County Special Victims Unit in conjunction with Detectives of The Jersey City Police Department was able to quickly identify Mr. Lloyd as a Suspect and the individual responsible for the Sexual Assault and Robbery of the woman.
