HACKENSACK, NJ.- A 48-Year-Old Morristown, New Jersey Handyman has been Convicted on Charges for the August 19, 2019, Rape of a 12-Year-Old Girl, while he was performing repairs at her home.

     According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, On Friday, May 12, 2023, following a Four-Day Trial, a Jury sitting in Bergen County, New Jersey, Convicted Alejandro Valasquez-Martinez, 48, of Morristown, New Jersey, on the Charges of First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; Sexual Assault; and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

     During the Trial, The Prosecutor's Office presented Six Witnesses, including Two Expert Witnesses, and successfully argued that on the morning of August 19, 2019, Mr. Velasquez-Martinez a Colombian National, committed Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Minor while he was doing tile repairs in her Family's Home.

     Mr. Velasquez-Martinez will Face a Minimum of 25 Years without Parole in New Jersey State Prison when he is Sentenced on August 4, 2023, before The Honorable Nina Remson J.S.C., in Bergen County State Superior Court.
