JERSEY CITY, NJ.- Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez reported that on Monday, May 8, 2023, Members of The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit Arrested a 25-Year-Old Bayonne, New Jersey man in connection with a Fatal Hit & Run that Claimed the Life of a 55-Year-Old Jersey City man on Sunday, March 5, 2023.
Arley Ulloa, 25, of Bayonne was Arrested at The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office in Jersey City and Charged with One Count of Second Degree Knowingly Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Collision Resulting in Death. Mr. Ulloa was Processed on the Charge and released on a Summons pending his First Appearance which has been Scheduled for Tuesday, May 30, 2023, in Hudson County Central Judicial Processing Court.
On Sunday, March 5, 2023, at approximately 12:31 a.m., Members of The Jersey City Police Department responded to the area of Stegman and Garfield Avenues on a report of a Pedestrian being Struck by a Motor Vehicle, that Fled the Scene.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Ralph Haynes, 55, of Jersey City, New Jersey lying in the Roadway with Life-Threatening Injuries. Mr. Haynes was immediately transported to Jersey City Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased later in the day.
