27-YEAR-OLD TARRYTOWN, NEW YORK MAN CHARGED FOR THE SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A CHILD

RIVER EDGE, NJ.- Today, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella reported that on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, a 27-Year-Old Tarrytown, New York man was Arrested and Charged in connection with Multiple Sexual Assaults on a Child that was Under The Age of 16 at the time of the alleged Assaults.
On Monday, March 27, 2023, The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office received information through The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Cyber Crimes Unit's Tip Line in regards to an alleged Sexual Assault of a Child. The caller reported that the Suspect, Eric Palese, 27, of Tarrytown, New York, contacted the Child on a Social media Platform, and Sexually Assaulted the Child in River Edge, New Jersey.
A subsequent investigation by Members of The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office in conjunction with The River Edge Police Department quickly determined that Mr. Palese Sexually Assaulted the Child, who at the time was under the Age of 16, in River Edge, New Jersey on more than one occasion.
Accordingly, on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, Mr. Palese was Arrested in Tarrytown, New York, and Charged with Six Counts of Second Degree Sexual Assault; Two Counts of Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; and Two Counts of Fourth Degree Criminal Sexual Contact.
Mr. Palese was Remanded to The Westchester County Jail, Pending Extradition to Bergen County, New Jersey.
