Montclair New Jersey Man Charged

25-YEAR-OLD MONTCLAIR, NEW JERSEY MAN CHARGED AFTER COMMITTING MULTIPLE RAPES

     " Fokam Parfait Was Arrested Yesterday On Kidnapping & Multiple Sexual Offenses For Sexually Assaulting Multiple Victims By Gunpoint."

SADDLE BROOK, NJ.- Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella and Saddle Brook Officer In Charge Captain John Zotollo, Jr. jointly reported that a 25-Year-Old Montclair, New Jersey man has been Arrested and Charged in connection to the Multiple Gunpoint Sexual Assaults of Multiple Victims.


     On Friday, March 24, 2023, The Saddle Brook Police Department contacted The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit regarding a Robbery and Sexual Assault. During that Assault, Detectives were informed that the Suspect brandished a Handgun and Sexually Assaulted the Victim before Fleeing the scene on a Motorcycle. 



     An investigation by Members of The Bergen County Special Victims Unit and The Saddle Brook Police Department quickly determined that the Suspect, Identified as Fokam Parfait, 25, of Montclair, New Jersey, Sexually Assaulted Multiple Victims while in possession of a Handgun on more than one occasion in Saddle Brook, New Jersey. Further, the investigation determined that Mr. Parfait, Kidnapped and Sexually Assaulted another Victim in Saddle Brook on another occasion.


     Accordingly, later in the day, on Friday, March 31, 2023, Mr. Parfait was Charged with First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault with a Weapon; First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault by Physical Force; First Degree Attempted Aggravated Sexual Assault with a Weapon; First Degree Kidnapping; Two Counts of Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Two Counts of Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.


     Mr. Parfait was Processed on The Charges and Remanded to The Bergen County Jail pending a First Appearance and Potential Detention Hearing in Bergen County State Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey. If Convicted on all the Charges, Mr. Parfait will Face the Potential of Life in New Jersey State Prison.
