MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO STABBING HIS GIRLFRIEND TO DEATH 29-YEARS AGO

MAYS LANDING, NJ.- Atlantic County Prosecutor William Reynolds reported that on Thursday, March 30, 2023, Fransico Martinez, 53, Pleaded Guilty to the Domestic Violence Stabbing Death of his Former Girlfriend Patricia Boney, back on February 25, 1994. The Plea Agreement will require Mr. Martinez to Serve a 20-Year New Jersey State Prison Term.
After Stabbing Ms. Boney to Death, Mr. Martinez fled in her 1982 Camaro, which was later discovered in Houston, Texas, on March 8, 1994. Authorities believe that after leaving her car, Mr. Martinez crossed the Southern Border into Mexico, where he was able to evade capture under an assumed name for over Twenty-Five Years.
On February 25, 1994, Mr. Martinez arrived at 111 North Harding Highway in Buena Borough to confront Ms. Boney, who had Broken Off the Relationship and was moving on from Mr. Martinez, and had no intention of reconciling with Mr. Martinez.
Mr. Martinez, Stabbed Ms. Boney over Seventeen Times in Front of their 18-Month-Old Child while Ms. Boney lay in her bed. Martinez quickly Fled the scene using Ms. Boney's Camaro. Ms. Boney's Nine and Eleven Year Old Children found her Lying in Bed with their Baby Brother Covered in Blood and Called 911. Upon arriving, Police Officers were able to speak with Ms. Boney who Identified Mr. Martinez as her Killer, before she Died.
Mr. Martinez remained One of New Jersey's Most Wanted for Years and was once Featured on " America's Most Wanted." Vowing to get Justice for Ms. Boney, her Children, and Her Family, Detectives from The Atlantic County Proscutor's Office, and The Atlantic County Sheriff's Office worked tirelessly in conjunction with Authorities in Mexico were able to Locate Mr. Martinez living and working in The Sinaloa Region of Mexico. Using all Diplomatic Channels, The United States Marshals Service, Interpol, and The United States State Department located and Extradicted Mr. Martinez from Mexico to New Jersey last year to Answer The Charges.
