PATERSON, NJ.- Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes reported that on Friday, March 31, 2023, Jimmy German, 22, of Garfield, New Jersey, was Sentenced to a Term of 27-Years in New Jersey State Prison for Committing a Robbery Spree in Paterson, New Jersey back in January of 2021.
On February 22, 2023, a Passaic County Jury found Mr. German Guilty of First Degree Armed Robbery; Three Counts of Second Degree Robbery; Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Handgun; and Fourth Degree Unlawful Taking of Means of Conveyance.
The Guilty Verdicts stem from an incident in which, on January 29, 2021, at approximately 5:30 a.m., in The City of Paterson, Mr. German Robbed an individual in the area of 21st Avenue and East 22nd Street. Then at approximately 6:20 a.m., on January 29, 2021, Mr. German again Robbed another individual in the area of 6th Avenue and East 19th Street in Paterson. Then 40 Minutes later, at approximately 7:10 a.m., in the area of 12th Avenue and East 28th Street in Paterson, Mr. German Robbed another individual. Then Finally, on January 31, 2021, at approximately 11:00 a.m., in the area of Liberty Street and Wayne Avenue in Paterson, Mr. German Robbed another individual.
Later in the day, on January 31, 2021, Mr. German was apprehended by Members of The Paterson Police Department, and during his Arrest, Police Officers found Mr. German with a Handgun in his Possession.
The Prison Term will be Subject to The No Early Release Act, which will require Mr. German to Serve Eighty-Five Percent of his Custodial Sentence before becoming Eligible for Parole.
