HACKENSACK TEEN CHARGED AS AN ACCOMPLICE IN THE NOVEMBER FATAL SHOOTING OF VIDAL NIEVES

HACKENSACK, NJ.- Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced that Jaheim Robinson, 18, of Hackensack, New Jersey was Arrested yesterday and Charged as an Accomplice in the November, 2022 Double Shooting that claimed the Life of 28-Year-Old Vidal Nieves and Injured another man.
On Saturday, November 12, 2022, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Members of The Hackensack Police Department responded to the area of Essex and Lehigh Streets in Hackensack on a report of Shots Being Fired.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a Man who sustained a Non Life Threatening Gunshot Wound. The man was immediately transported to Hackensack University Medical Center for treatment. A second Man, 28-Year-Old Vidal Nieves was also immediately transported to Hackensack University Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injury and was subsequently pronounced deceased.
An investigation conducted by Members of The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office in conjunction with Detectives of The Hackensack Police Department determined that Mr. Robinson acted as an Accomplice in The Fatal Shooting of Vidal Nieves.
Accordingly, on Monday, March 6, 2023, Mr. Robinson was Arrested and Formally Charged with First Degree Murder; First Degree Attempted Murder; First Degree Conspiracy to Commit Murder; Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; and Fourth Degree Stalking.
Mr. Robinson was Processed on The Charges and remanded to The Bergen County Jail pending his First Appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
