BERGENFIELD MAN CHARGED WITH THE SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A CHILD

BERGENFIELD, NJ.- A 52-Year-Old Bergenfield, New Jersey man has been Arrested and Charged in connection with the Alleged Sexual Assault of a Child under the Age of 13-Years-Old, according to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella.

     On Tuesday, March 14, 2023, Detectives of The Bergenfield Police Department contacted Investigators of The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit regarding The Alleged Sexual Assault of a Child.

     An investigation conducted by The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit and The Bergenfield Police Department determined that Julio Valencia, 52, of Bergenfield Sexually Assaulted a Child under the Age of Thirteen, on Multiple Occasions in Bergenfield, New Jersey.

     As a result of the investigation, On Wednesday, March 15, 2023, Mr. Valencia was Arrested and Formally Charged with Two Counts of Second Degree Sexual Assault by Contact; and Two Counts of Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

     Mr. Valencia was Processed on The Charges and remanded to The Bergen County Jail, pending his First Appearance and potential Detention Hearing in Bergen County State Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
