45 YEAR OLD BEDMINSTER MAN CHARGED FOR SEXUALLY ASSAULTING TWO MINOR GIRLS

BEDMINSTER, NJ.- On Monday, March 6, 2023, a 45-Year-Old Bedminster, New Jersey man was taken into Custody for the Alleged Sexual Assaults of Two Minor Children that occurred on Saturday, March 4, 2023, during an event at a Bedminster Residence, according to The Somerset Prosecutor's Office.
On Sunday, March 5, 2023, The Somerset County Prosecutor's Office Sex Crimes Unit was notified by The Bedminster Township Police Department in regards to a report that an 8-Year-Old Child was Sexually Assaulted by Marcelo D. Schonhauser on Saturday, March 4, 2023, while attending a Social Event at a Bedminster, New Jersey Residence.
An initial investigation by Detectives determined that the Child was Assaulted. On Monday, March 6, 2023, as the investigation continued Detectives learned that a Second Child, an 7-Year-Old Girl had also been Sexually Assaulted by Mr. Schonhauser during the same event.
On Monday, March 6, 2023, Mr. Schonhauser was Arrested at his home in Bedminster and Charged with Two Counts of Second Degree Sexual Assault by Contact; and Two Counts of Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Mr. Schonhauser was Processed on The Charges and remanded to The Somerset County Jail. The Somerset County Prosecutor's Office has Filed a Motion to have Mr. Schonhauser Detained pending the resolution of the Charges Against him.
