POLICE ARE SEARCHING FOR ANSWERS IN A ROXBURY NEW JERSEY MURDER SUICIDE

     " Authorities Investigating The Circumstance Surrounding Yesterday's Murder Suicide In Roxbury, New Jersey."

ROXBURY, NJ.- Morris County Authorities are searching for answers for what caused a 57-Year-Old Roxbury man to Shot and Kill his 58-Year-Old Wife and 15-Year-Old Son before turning the Gun on Himself and taking his own life Early Yesterday Morning inside their Succasunna Home, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll reported.

     On Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at approximately 10:00 a.m., Members of The Roxbury Police Department responded to a home in the Succasunna Section in Roxbury for a Welfare Check. The check was requested by a Family Friend after they were unable to reach them.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers gained entry into the home and discovered the bodies of a Husband, Wife and Juvenile Son. All Three appeared to have succumbed to Gunshot Wounds. The initial investigation by Police suggests they died during the Early Morning Hours on Tuesday.

     The Deceased are Peter Ventricelli, 57, Kellie Ventricelli, 58, and Anthony Ventricelli, 15. Investigators believe that Mr. Ventricelli Shot and Killed his Wife, Kellie, and his Son Anthony before taking his own Life.  The Motive and Circumstances of this Tragic Event are actively under investigation. Detectives are conducting Scene Analysis, Electronic Device Review, and Interviews.

     Prosecutor Carroll said, " This is a tragic murder suicide brought on by domestic violence. It is a heartbreaking loss for the Ventricelli family. Neighbors, schoolmates, friends and the Roxbury community as a whole are mourning this shocking and senseless loss of life. We ask that citizens exercise discretion and compassion while discussing the situation on social media.
