41 YEAR OLD ENGLEWOOD MAN CHARGED WITH THE SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A CHILD

     " Carlos Quintero-Lopera Has Been Arrested & Charged With The Aggravated Sexual Assault Of A Child."

ENGLEWOOD, NJ.- A 41-Year-Old Bergen County man was Arrested and Charged last Thursday with Multiple Sexual Offenses for the Alleged Sexual Assault of a Young Child, according to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella.

     On Wednesday, February 8, 2023, Members of The Englewood Police Department contacted The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit regarding the Alleged Sexual Assault of a Child. The investigation by Detectives of The Bergen County Special Victims Unit and The Englewood Police Department quickly determined that Carlos Quintero-Lopera, 41, of Englewood, New Jersey Sexual Assaulted the Child who was between Eleven and Sixteen Years Old. The Assaults occurred on more than one occasion in Englewood.

     As a result of investigation, on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, Mr. Quintero-Lopera was Arrested at The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office's in Paramus, New Jersey and Charged with Three Counts of First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; an Additional Two Counts of First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; Two Counts of Second Degree Sexual Assault by Contact; and Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

     After being processed on The Charges, Mr. Quintero-Lopera was transported and remanded to The Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, New Jersey pending a First Appearance and potential Detention Hearing in Bergen County State Superior Court.

     If Convicted at Trial on all of The Charges Mr. Quintero-Lopera will face a potential sentencing exposure of Life in New Jersey State Prison.
