Two East Orange Men Charged

WHILE TWO EAST ORANGE MEN WERE BEING ARRESTED ON OUTSTANDING WARRANTS CONTRABAND SEIZED

     " Police Officers Seize Narcotics, Guns, Ammo, & Money While Serving Arrest Warrants On 2 East Orange Men On Outstanding Charges Last Week."

EAST ORANGE, NJ.- On Wednesday, November 23, 2022, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens, II announced that while two East Orange New Jersey men were being Arrested for outstanding warrants Police Officers discover a cache of Narcotics, Guns, Money, and Ammunition, inside an East Orange Home.

     On Wednesday, November 16, 2022, Members of The Essex County Narcotics Task Force with assistance from Members of The Essex County Sheriff's Office Tactical Response Team served two warrants one at an East Orange residence and another at an Irvington residence. During the execution of the warrants Police Officers discovered 7 Guns, Narcotics, $10,000 in cash, and over 300 Hundred Rounds of Ammunition including High Capacity Magazines.

     After being taken into Custody on the Outstanding Warrants, Tyree Blount and Arthur Blount were respectively Charged with numerous Narcotic, and Weapons Offenses.

     " These arrests and seizure of contraband is the result of vigilant  police work," said Acting Prosecutor Stephens. " Anyone charged with a crime who ignores a warrant in Essex County should be aware that law enforcement officials will be diligent in finding and prosecuting you." 

" The Rules Of The Court Require Us To Include A Statement, That States: The Charges Outlined In This Publication Are Merely Accusations And The Defendant And Or Defendants Are Presumed Innocent Unless And Until Proven Guilty Beyond Reasonable Doubt."
