Paterson Man Found Guilty

PATERSON MAN FACES LIFE IN PRISON AFTER BEING FOUND GUILTY FOR SEXUALLY ASSAULTING A TEN YEAR OLD GIRL

     " A 66-Year-Old Paterson Man, Guilty On Charges Of Aggravated Sexual Assault Of A 10-Year-Old Girl At Her Home In Paterson, New Jersey."

PATERSON, NJ.- On Tuesday, November 15, 2022, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes announced that a Jury sitting in Passaic County, New Jersey has returned Guilty Verdicts against Julio Largo-Veletanga, 66, of Paterson on One Count of First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; Three Counts of Second Degree Sexual Assault; One Count of Attempted Aggravated Sexual Assault; Four Counts of Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; and One Count of Second Degree Hindering Apprehension. 

     Back in May of 2020, Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to a residence in Paterson, New Jersey on a report that a 10-Year-Old Girl had been Sexually Assaulted. After an extensive investigation by Detectives of The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit. Interviews of multiple witnesses and the child by Detectives determined that Mr. Largo-Veletanga Sexually Abused the Child numerous times between February 2020 and May 2020 inside of her home in Paterson.

     Thanks to the diligent efforts of Detectives from The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit, Mr. Largo-Veletanga will never be able to commit a reprehensible act upon another Child. 

     Sentencing in this matter has been scheduled for March 8, 2022, at 9:00 a.m., in Passaic County State Superior Court, at which time Mr. Largo-Veletanga will face the potential of spending the rest of his life in New Jersey State Prison.
