Man Charged With Victimizing A Teenager

41 YEAR OLD MAN CHARGED WITH MULTIPLE COUNTS PROMOTING PROSTITUTION OF A TEEN GIRL

     "Jerome L Harbour, 41, Has Been Charged With First Degree Promoting Prostitution & Multiple Other Charges Including Narcotics Offenses."

FREEHOLD, NJ.- On Monday, November 21, 2022, Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced, a local Monmouth County man has been Arrested and Charged with Supplying Narcotics to, and forcing a Teenage Girl into Prostitution at a Tinton Falls Motel.



     Jerome L. Harbor, 41, has been Charged with One Count of First Degree Promoting Prostitution of a Child; One Count Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; One Count of Third Degree Hindering Apprehension; Four Counts of Third Degree Narcotics Offenses; One Count of Fourth Degree Criminal Sexual Contact; and Fourth Degree Obstruction of Justice.


     Last week on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, Members of The Tinton Falls Police Department learned that a 17-Year-Old Girl may be in a crisis situation somewhere in The Eatontown or Tinton Falls area. An investigation ensued, and a subsequent search of area led Police Officers to a Motel located in the area near the interchange of Route 18, Route 36, and The Garden State Parkway.


     Police Officers entered the Motel and knocked on the door where mr. Harbour was staying, he denied any knowledge or whereabouts of the teenager, but within moments, Police Officers found the Girl hiding in his room.


     The Girl was immediately taken into safety, and the investigation continued involving Members of The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Bureau and Detectives from The Tinton Falls Police Department uncovered evidence that led to the Crimes, including information that Mr. Harbour thrown the Girl's Cell Phone in a neighboring town. Detectives searched the room and located illegal narcotics, that included Cocaine, Oxycodone, and two types of Prescription Tranquilizers.


     Mr. Harbour was taken into custody and processed on the Charges, he was then transported to The Monmouth County Correctional Institution to await his First Appearance and a Pretrial Detention Hearing which will be heard in Monmouth County State Superior Court in Freehold, New Jersey. Due to the nature of the Alleged Charges, Mr. Harbour most likely will be detained, pending the resolution of the charges filed against him.
