JERSEY CITY MAN ARRESTED TODAY FOR THE SEPTEMBER 25, 2022 FATAL SHOOTING IN HOBOKEN

ELIZABETH, NJ.- Today, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced that this morning, Members of The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Unit and Members of The U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force Arrested a 25-Year-Old man wanted for The Fatal Shooting of Christopher Garcia in Hoboken, New Jersey.
Deon Williams, 25, of Jersey City, New Jersey has been Charged With First Degree Murder; Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. Mr. Williams was Arrested at a Hotel located on International Boulevard in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
The Arrest is the result of an investigation that began on Sunday, September 2022, at approximately 3:25 a.m., when Members of The Hoboken Police Department responded to the area of 560 Marshall Drive in Hoboken on a report of a Shooting.
Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered a man, later identified as Christopher Garcia, 28, of Hoboken, New Jersey, suffering from a Gunshot Wound stomach. Mr. Garcia was immediately transported to Jersey City Medical Center where he succumbed to his injury and was subsequently pronounced deceased at 3:56 a.m.
