FRIDAY NIGHT HOUSE FIRE CLAIMS THE LIVES OF THREE AND HOSPITALIZED ONE
" Passaic County Authorities Continuing To Investigate The Cause Of A Fire That Claimed The Lives Of 3 People In Clifton, New Jersey."

CLIFTON, NJ.- On Saturday, November 19, 2022, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Clifton Police Chief Thomas Rinaldi jointly announced that Passaic County Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstance surrounding a Fire that occurred Friday night on Ladwick Lane in Clifton, New Jersey.
On Friday, November 18, 2022, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Members of The Clifton Fire Department and The Clifton Police Department responded to 29 Ladwick Lane on a report of a house fire.
Upon arrival, Firefighters discovered a working structure fire. Firefighter quickly extinguished the fire and discovered three individuals, Steven Warga, 65, Elaine Warga, 71, and Helen Popovich, 95, all three were residents of the home, and were pronounced deceased. A third individual was immediately transported to Saint Joseph's Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey and is listed in stable condition.
The cause and origin is undetermined at this time. More information may become available one released by authorities.
