Camden City Woman Charged

CAMDEN CITY NEW JERSEY WOMAN CHARGED WITH THE THANKSGIVING DAY STABBING DEATH OF A MAN

     " Laquanda Jones Has Been Charged With Murder For The Stabbing Death Of 55-Year-Old Bernie Marshall Yesterday Afternoon."

CAMDEN CITY, NJ.- On Friday, November 25, 2022, Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAuley and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez jointly announced that a Camden City woman has been Arrested and Charged with Murder in the Fatal Stabbing of a 55-Year-Old man yesterday afternoon.


     On Thursday, November 24, 2022, at approximately 3:05 p.m., Members of The Camden County Police Department responded to the area of The 1300 Block of Princess Avenue on a report of a man being Stabbed.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Bernie Marshall, unresponsive from having sustained a Stab Wound. Mr. Marshall was immediately transported to Cooper University Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased at 3:33 p.m.


     Following an investigation by Detectives of The Camden County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Unit and Detectives of The Camden County Police Department determined that Laquanda Jones, 27, of Camden City was taken into Custody and Charged with First Degree Murder; Third Degree Possession of a Weapon for a Unlawful Purpose; and Fourth Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.


     Ms. Jones was processed on the charges and remanded to The Camden County Correctional Facility pending her First Appearance and Potential Detention Hearing.
