JERSEY CITY, NJ.- On Thursday, February 10, 2022 Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office and the Jersey City Police Department are investigating the Death of a 57-year-old man on Van Nostrand Avenue in Jersey City, New Jersey.
On Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at approximately 2:45 p.m., Members of The Jersey City Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call from an individual who located the man inside of a home at 88 Van Nostrand Avenue. Upon arrival, Police Officers found the lifeless body of a 57-Year-Old man. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Two hours later, at approximately 4:39 p.m., The Jersey City Police Department requested that The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit assist in the investigation. The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and The Jersey City Police Department are actively investigating the Death.
