12-Year-Old Bayonne Girl Charged

12 YEAR OLD BAYONNE NEW JERSEY GIRL ARRESTED AND CHARGED ON SATURDAY JANUARY 29, 2022

     " After Multiple Hit & Runs Car Crashes A 12-Year-Old Bayonne Girl Was Taken Into Custody & Charged With Receiving Stolen Property."

BAYONNE, NJ.- On Saturday, January 29, 2022 as the first major winter storm blankets the City of Bayonne with up 9 inches of snow. While the majority of Bayonne children enjoyed a day of sled riding, shoveling snow, and building snowman in within The City's Parks,   a 12-Year Old Bayonne Girl introduced a new meaning to the sport sled riding, as she attempted to flee Police in a Stolen Car.


     On Saturday, at approximately 12:30 p.m., Bayonne Police Patrol Officers monitored an All Points Bulletin to be on the lookout for a car that had been involved in a Hit and Run Crash in the area of 46th Street and Broadway, and that the vehicle had also been reported Stolen out of Jersey City.


     A short time later a Bayonne Patrol Unit encountered the vehicle in the area of 10th Street and Avenue E and attempted to conduct a Motor Vehicle stop. Upon activating their emergency lights in order to stop the vehicle, the driver of the vehicle accelerated and collided with light pole on North Street, in an unsuccessful attempt to Elude Police.


     As Officers approached the vehicle they encounter the driver was a 12-Year-Old Girl. According to Police the Girl sustained minor injuries and was taken into custody and Charged with Receiving Stolen Property; and Eluding Police.


     No other details were available at the time of this report.
