East Windsor Man Arrested

 EAST WINDSOR NEW JERSEY MAN HAS BEEN ARRESTED ON CHARGES OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY AND ANIMAL CRUELTY

     " Mitchell Richtman Charged With Second Degree Possession Of Child Pornography & Fourth Degree Animal Cruelty For Performing Sexual Acts Upon A Horse."

EAST WINDSOR, NJ.- On Monday, January 31, 2022 Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri announced that an investigation into Online Child Exploitation has culminated with the Arrest of 31-Year-Old East Windsor, New Jersey man.



     Mitchell B. Richtman, 31, of East Windsor has been Charged with Second Degree Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material; and Fourth Degree Animal Cruelty. The Mercer County Prosecutor's has filed a Motion to have for Mr. Richtman Detained pending Trial.


     Detectives with The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office Internet Crimes Against Children Unit had recently received information from The Center for Missing and Exploited Children that an individual in Mercer County was uploading Child Pornography. An investigation was initiated and Mr. Richtman was identified as the suspect.


     On Thursday, January 27, 2022, Detectives executed a Court Authorized Search Warrant at Mr. Richtman's residence in East Windsor. Richtman was detained without incident and several electronic devices were seized. Forensic analysis conducted on those devices revealed a Second Degree amount of Child Pornography depicting Children as Young as Five Years Old. Detectives further uncovered several videos depicting Mr. Richtman performing Sexual Acts on a Horse.


     Mercer County Prosecutor Onofri urges anyone that may have information about suspected improper contact by unknown persons communicating with children via the internet or exploitation or sexual abuse of children to contact The Mercer County Internet Crimes Against Children Unit at (609) 989-6568 or The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force at (888) 648-6007.
