LATE THURSDAY AFTERNOON SHOOTING IN THE AREA OF GOVERNOR AND CARROLL STREETS LEAVES A PATERSON MAN HOSPITALIZED

PATERSON, NJ.- Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announced that on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at approximately 5:08 p.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Governor and Carroll Streets in Paterson, New Jersey on a report of Shots Fired.
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a potential crime scene, but no victim was located. A short time later, Members of The Paterson Police Department were notified that a 23-Year-Old male Paterson man had arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey by way of private vehicle seeking treatment for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information may become available once released by authorities.
