INVESTIGATION CONTINUES INTO THE WEDNESDAY NIGHT FATAL SHOOTING OF A TEEN ON GODWIN AVENUE PATERSON, NEW JERSEY

PATERSON, NJ.- On Thursday, January 20, 2022 Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announced that on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of 130 Godwin Avenue in Paterson, New Jersey on a report of a Shooting.
Upon arrival, Police Officers located the victim, later identified as Robert Cuadra, 18, of Paterson, lying on the sidewalk in front of that address with an apparent Gunshot Wound. Mr. Cuadra was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey where he succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information may become available once released by authorities.
