ELMWOOD PARK NEW JERSEY MAN CHARGED IN CONNECTION TO A NEW YEAR'S EVE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE STABBING

ELMWOOD PARK, NJ.- On Sunday, January 2, 2022 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the Arrest of Emiliano Domi, 25, of Elmwood Park, New Jersey on Charges of Attempted Murder; Aggravated Assault; Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. The Arrest is the result of an investigation by The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and The Elmwood Park Police Department under the direction of Chief Michael Foligno.
On Friday, December 31, 2021, at approximately 11:57 a.m., Members of The Elmwood Park Police Department responded to a Domestic Violence incident at 4 Martha Avenue in Elmwood Park, New Jersey. Upon arrival, Police Officers located a 43-Year-Old woman suffering from a Stab Wound. The woman was immediately transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, where she is in stable condition.
An investigation conducted by Detectives from The Elmwood Park Police Department and The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit determined that Mr. Domi Stabbed the woman with a Kitchen Knife.
On Friday, December 31, 2021, Mr. Domi was Arrested and Charged with One Count of First Degree Attempted Murder; One Count of Second Degree Aggravated Assault; One Count of Third Degree Aggravated Assault; One Count of Third Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and One Count of Fourth Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. Mr. Domi was processed on the Charges and remanded to The Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
