28 YEAR OLD MOONACHIE MAN CHARGED WITH JANUARY 1, 2022 SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A CHILD UNDER THE AGE OF THIRTEEN

LITTLE FERRY, NJ.- On Monday, January 3, 2022 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the Arrest of Franklin Gomez-Paredes, 28, of Moonachie, New Jersey on Sexual Assault and Child Endangerment Charges. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and The Little Ferry Police Department under the direction of Chief James Walters.
On Saturday, January 1, 2022, The Little Ferry Police Department contacted The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office regarding the alleged Sexual Assault of a Child Younger than Thirteen.
An investigation was initiated by The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and The Little Ferry Police Department. During the investigation, it was conclusively determined that the victim was Sexually Assaulted by Mr. Gomez-Paredes.
As a result of the investigation, on Saturday, January 1, 2022, Mr. Gomez-Paredes was Arrested in Paramus, New Jersey and Charged with First Degree Attempted Aggravated Sexual Assault; Second Degree Sexual Assault by Contact; and Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Mr. Gomez-Paredes was processed on the Charges and remanded to The Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
