Arrest Made In Camden Homicide

CAMDEN COUNTY AUTHORITIES ARREST CAMDEN MAN WANTED FOR THE DECEMBER 16, 2021 FATAL STABBING OF A CAMDEN NEW JERSEY MAN

     " Ruben Espinoza Of Camden Arrested & Charged In The December 16, 2021 Stabbing Death Of Michael Lane."

CAMDEN, NJ.- On Sunday, January 2, 2022 Acting Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriquez announced the Arrest of Ruben Espinoza wanted in the Fatal Stabbing of a Camden man.


     On Sunday, January 2, 2022 The U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force apprehended Ruben Espinoza, 52, of Camden, New Jersey at a residence in Camden. Mr. Espinoza has been Charged with First Degree Murder; Third Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Fourth Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.



     On Thursday, December 16, 2021, at approximately 4:05 p.m., Members of The Camden County Police Department responded to The 2400 Block of Federal Street in Camden on a report of a Stabbing. Upon arrival, Police Officers found a victim, later identified as Michael Lane suffering from a Life-Threatening Stab Wound.


     Mr. Lane was immediately transported to Cooper Hospital in Camden, New Jersey, where Mr. Lane succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased at 4:43 p.m.


     Mr. Espinoza was processed on the Charges and remanded to The Camden County Correctional Facility pending a first appearance and a Detention Hearing.
