MERCER COUNTY AUTHORITIES ARE INVESTIGATING A WEDNESDAY'S LATE NIGHT HOMICIDE IN TRENTON, NEW JERSEY
" Mercer County Homicide Task Force & The Trenton Police Department Are Investigating An Overnight Fatal Shooting At The Donnelly Homes That Has Left A Man Dead."

TRENTON, NJ.- On Thursday, October 14, 2021 Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri announced that The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and The Trenton Police Department are currently investigating last night's Fatal Shooting of a 26-Year-Old Trenton, New Jersey man.
On Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at approximately 11:00 p.m., Members of The Trenton Police Department responded to a Multiple ShotSpotter Activation in the 900 Block of Southard Street in Trenton. Trenton Police Officers also Stationed at The Donnelly Homes Housing Complex, after hearing Gunshots also responded to the area.
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a male victim who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, later identified as Melvin Williams, 26, of Trenton, New Jersey was immediately transported Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased a short time later.
