Englewood Woman Charged With Theft

ENGLEWOOD NEW JERSEY WOMAN CHARGED WITH THEFT IN ART SCAM

     " Inhee Moon Of Englewood, New Jersey Arrested & Charged With Second Degree Theft By Deception For Diverting Funds From The Sale Of Art."

ENGLEWOOD, NJ.- On Thursday, October 21, 2021 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the Arrest of Inhee Moon, 43, of Englewood, New Jersey on the Charge of Theft by Deception. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love. 


     On Tuesday, June 15, 2021, Detectives from The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Financial Crimes Unit received a complaint against Ms. Moon which accused her of Unlawfully Taking Funds from the sale of a piece of Artwork. 


     The subsequent investigation revealed that Ms. Moon, on behalf of her client, had brokered a transaction involving the sale of a piece of Art and diverted approximately $273,000.00 of the sale into her own personal financial account and ultimately into a real estate property that she controlled.



     On Tuesday, October 19, 2021, Ms. Moon was Arrested and Charged with One Count of Second Degree Theft by Deception. Ms. Moon was processed on the charges and released on a Summons pending her first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
