PATERSON NEW JERSEY MAN INDICTED FOR AGGRAVATED SEXUAL ASSAULT, SEXUAL ASSAULT AND CHILD ENDANGERMENT OFFENSES

PATERSON, NJ.- On Wednesday, August 18, 2021 Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes announced that a Grand Jury sitting in Passaic County, New Jersey has returned an indictment against Richard Solis, 46, of Paterson, New Jersey on multiple counts of Sexual Offenses against Children that occurred between 2008 and 2010.
The Passaic County Grand Jury returned the Indictment on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, Charging Mr. Solis with Sexual Offenses against Two Children that took place at a residence in Paterson, New Jersey when one Child was Five to Six-Years-Old and the other Child was Three- Years Old. Mr. Solis was indicted on One Count of First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; One Count of Second Degree Sexual Assault; One Count of Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; and One Count of Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
The sentencing exposure on First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault is Ten to Twenty Years in New Jersey State Prison with 85% term of service before parole eligibility pursuant to The No Early Release Act; on Second Degree Sexual Assault it is Five to Ten Years in New Jersey State Prison with 85% term of service before parole eligibility pursuant to The No Early Release Act; on Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child it is Five to Ten Years in New Jersey State Prison; and on Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child it is Three to Five Years in New Jersey State Prison. If convicted, Mr. Solis is subject to Parole Supervision for Life and Megan’s Law Registration Requirements.
